New for 2024: The Downwind Master boards were designed by Robert Stehlik as a high performance downwind foiling, flat water paddle up, and light wind wind foiling platform.
Shape:
Years of R&D have gone into the simple yet refined shape. The relatively flat bottom makes it quite stable for the width. The pointy tail with hard beveled rails minimizes drag to allow the foil to release easily with minimum effort, even when using smaller/ faster foils. The pointy nose with a slightly rounded/ soft bottom shape has low drag and is very forgiving when touching down at speed. The deck has a slight concave and boxy rails make the board feel extra stable. The volume is evenly distributed for easy balancing and the rocker line is designed for low drag and easy takeoffs. Downwind foiling is challenging and not easy to learn but these boards make catching open ocean bumps as accessible as possible. They are also great light wind wing foil boards that allow wining in very light wind.
Construction and inserts:
Our new foil boards are made using the highest quality construction technology available today for an excellent weight to strength ratio. The light weight blank is reinforced with high density PVC stringers that also reinforce the extra long plate mount track mount. All inserts are installed into high density foam inserts. The deck is also reinforced with a layer of high density foam and the board is made with a full carbon sandwich wrap, with extra reinforcements in high stress areas. Foot strap insert allow for center mounted foot strap positions. The patented SUP Grip handle on the deck makes it easy to lift and carry the board, there is no handle on the bottom to minimize drag.

We recommend a volume of rider weight in kg (+20% to +40%) = volume in L.
The 6'10 model is and excellent downwind foil board for more advanced riders and an excellent light wind wing board.
The longer 7'6 works well for downwind foiling and also for flat water paddle up training.
