Kawela Bay- beautiful protected bay with sandy beach on Oahu's North Shore
Kahana Bay- great spot on the north east side of the island- paddle up the protected river mouth or out into the bay
Dukes Lagoon- protected lagoon in the heart of Waikiki- great spot for beginners though it can get a bit crowded
Blue Planet Adventure on the Anahulu River in Hale'iwa- located on the longest river on Oahu, this is a perfect spot to paddleboard and it's super easy, you don't even have to lift up the board, just show up and paddle with the turtles
Pokai Bay- a great place on the west side with protected waters for beginners and fun waves for more advanced SUP surfers
Lanikai- water can be rough on windy days but paddling out to the Mokoluas is a great adventure for intermediate paddlers
Mokoli'i Island- also known as Chinaman's Hat- this is another fun adventure paddlers for intermediate paddlers- beware of shallow rocks and rough seas on windy days. There is a trail going up to the top of the island.
Ala Moana beach park- the protected lagoon is another great spot for beginners. The water is smooth and there is a sandy beach with showers and easy access. Parking can get crowded. Don't paddle in the swimming zone on the inside, stay outside the buoys
